5th Oct 2019 - Highbullen Ladies Away Day
On behalf of the ladies from Highbullen I would like to thank everyone at Honiton for making us so welcome on Thursday. From the minute we walked in and saw our name on your Welcome Board we knew we would have a good day. The course was in excellent condition and even the weather was kind to us. It waited until we were all in to start raining. The food was excellent, special thanks to Emma and her tem for looking after us so well. They had such a busy day but our food arrived on time and was delicious.

This place is a hidden gem, stopped for some delicious lunch at the clubhouse; staff are very friendly and efficient. I had sausage and mash which was great comfort food...

Horse Race Night: An excellent evening. Thanks to Terry Dimond for comparing, the kitchen staff for great food and everyone else who helped organise. Had a brilliant night, even if I was a little over dressed ??

8th February 2019 - Axe Valley Hunt
We had a great time, thank you! John is very easy to deal with and we had loads of positive feedback about the food and the service. We had to postpone a week due to snow and even that went smoothly! Hope to be booking again for next year. Dawn.

Lovely meal on Saturday evening. I am aware now that a carvery is served on a Sunday, I'd recommend it, a lot less hussle and bussle.... And excellent service, the beef was beautiful!! Try it!!

Thank you for a great day today, all of the participants enjoyed the visit. We were blessed wigh fine weather and thd course was in excellent condition which allowed for some good golf. After our round we were made very welcome in the clubhouse snd both the the staff and good were magnificent. Again many thanks, we thoroughly enjoyed the day.

I just wanted to drop you a quick line to say thank you for hosting our event...…… looking forward to many more years enjoying golf at wonderfully characterful courses such as yours. All our group loved the visit and commented that the course was a delight. It just goes to prove that a golf course doesn’t have to be 8000yds long to be a test of ones skills. The tour of the Orchardleigh Boys is set to continue and we would love to keep you on our list of definite venues for future years. Once again a big thank you to all of your colleagues we met on the day and we look forward to seeing you all again in the not too distant future. Steve.

Just a note to say what a great day we had yesterday. Everyone enjoyed the day, a few ladies had not played the course before but said they would definitely play it again. The catering was excellent nothing was too much trouble all the staff were great. Thankyou very much, we will be back.RD.

7th August 2017 - DCLGA, WMN.(Devon County Ladies)
I write to thank you and all your team of helpers for making last Thursday run so smoothly. We had a most enjoyable day and thankfully the weather was also kind to us. The sound level of the chatting in the clubhouse at the end of the meeting reflected how much everyone enjoyed the day.
The work you and your ladies, John, the chef, the waiting and bar staff and Adrian and James was greatly appreciate and made our job so much easier. Not forgetting to mention the green keepers and all the round the year work they do in presenting the course in such wonderful condition.
May I ask you pass our thanks on to all of them please. Also, the prize table flowers were delightful and many people commented on them. We look forward to coming back to Honiton GC sometime in the future.

On behalf of Tiverton Golf Club may I extend a great big "thank you" to all concerned at Honiton Golf Club for all of your assistance during the build-up and on the day of our recent Palairet Trophy match against Stover. Beginning with your understanding and support... through to the presentation of the course on the day of the match and the provision of such excellent and friendly service from the bar and kitchen staff, were excellent in all respects. We both thoroughly enjoyed playing the course, the greens were consistent and the areas around them were beautifully manicured. A green and pleasant course. I drove the 30 miles from home to play Honiton for the first time and lovely sunny, if a little windy, day in May. It was a good round played on a green, firm and well maintained course. This is a decent course, not great as it is rather flat and the holes rather up and back again. However, three par 3s over 200 yards it had its challenges. The tree lined fairways are often quite narrow so being straight helps but with few obstacles most holes are reasonably routine, but fun all the same. As a first time visitor it was great to see a really well signed posted course; it is really annoying to have to walk backwards and forwards working out where you are going. Great maps on the score card helped as well.

Thank you for an entertaining introduction to Honiton GC last Saturday - it is very refreshing to find such a friendly and welcoming organisation. Pass on my thanks to all those who were involved. I am looking forward with keen anticipation to the training sessions starting after Easter, and I hope my many years of playing cricket do not spoil the enjoyment - maybe give some laughs to other golfers!

My wife and I recently visited your club with the express intention of joining as Country Members......unfortunately we were unable to finalise a purchase of a holiday home..... we were made very welcome by everyone we encountered. I would like to thank your professional Adrian Cave and particularly his assistant James Pickard who went out of their way to make us feel at home. My wife and I are extremely disappointed that at this point we are unable to join you, but remain hopeful that in the near future our dream will materialise..... convey our thanks to everyone who made our visit so special.

2nd July 2016 - Old Honitonians GS
Please excuse my delay in getting back to you but, as you may be aware, we OHs have been on a week's golfing holiday in Devon & Dorset - something we do every year - and we only finished this off last evening at Bridport.

You looked after us admirably and I received many compliments from our own group of OH golfers and from the Old Tauntonians who were our opposition on the day. You even managed to ensure that we had a rain-free round.........

We will certainly be looking to come back again, if you'll have us, and in due course I shall let you know more about our ideas for next year.

Many thanks for your e-mail regarding our visit and thanks for looking after us as you do.

We have been coming to Honiton as a society for about 25-30 Years and are booked in once again for the 13th March 2017. The welcome and the Golf course are always much to our liking and the Food has always been exceptional.

My only comment on behalf of our Society is, keep up the good work and don't change anything please!

Looking forward to seeing you certainly in March but maybe sooner if you'll have us.

Please can I put in writing a very sincere thank-you to all the Officials, staff and members of Honiton Golf Club who enabled the smooth running of a very successful South Western Counties U16's/U14's Boys Championship at Honiton Golf Club on Thursday 2nd June 2016.......

The Club afforded us every assistance to enable a smooth running event. A particular thank-you to your Manager Adrian Cave for all his help on the two days.
